Benidorm Attractions – Independent Reviews

Benidorm has several well-advertised attractions – but are they as good as they are cracked up to be?
None of them is cheap – so… Should you visit them? Are they worth the money? This is what we think.

TERRA MITICAbenidorm terra mitica ride image 2

Terra Mitica is a theme park offering a mixture of exciting shows and exhilarating rides – based around the the ancient Mediterranean  Civilisations of Rome, Greece, Egypt and Iberia. The rides are pretty good – but there are not as many as you might expect for the price of your ticket.
The shows are great fun – but may tax the attention span of young kids. Terra Mitica gets very crowded in the peak season – so queues can be long. wFood and drinks in the restaurants is expensive – so bring your own.

Prices are around… Adult 38 Euros   Child (4-12) 30 Euro
Children under 3 go free.
Note: Children over 12 years of age are classed as adults! Rip-off!

AQUALANDIA

Aqualandia is probably the most popular attraction in Benidorm. It’s a pretty good water park – although not in the same class as say Wet n Wild in Orlando! Aqualandia has around 20 rides – most of them very good.

There is also a huge wave-pool with decent waves – and best of all, the Zoo Immersion – where you can swim and play with sea-lions – fantastic experience!

Prices around…  Adult 30 Euros   Child 22 Euro  Children under 3 go free.
Note: Children over 12 years of age are classed as adults! Not impressive! So for a family of four you are looking at over £100 – a long way from cheap!
Located in the Rincon de Loix area of Benidorm – close to Levante beach.

MUNDOMAR PARKbenidorm mundomar dolphin show image

Mundomar Park is very entertaining – but not really a full day out. The Dolphin show lasts around 40 minutes, the sea-lion show lasts 30 minutes, and the parrot show lasts 30 minutes – that’s just over an hour’s entertainment. The rest of Mundomar can be seen in around two hours tops.  Worth the money? Possibly – the dolphin show is impressive – and kids love it.

Prices around Adult 25 Euros   Child 20 Euro  Children under 3 go free.
Note: Children over 12 years of age are classed as adults! Since when!
NOTE: During busy times tickets are only available on line. Book in advance!

Located in the Rincon de Loix area of Benidorm – close to Levante beach.

TERRA NATURA

Without doubt Terra Natura is the best value theme park in Benidorm. A great experience for the whole family. A great mixture of safari-park and theme-park – along the lines of Folrida’s fabulous Busch Gardens. See the animals in totally unique – immersive – ways. Fantastic enjoyment!

TERRA NATURA AQUA PARK

Part of Terra Natura, but you have to pay extra to use it.

Prices around… Adult 29 Euros   Child 25 Euros  Seniors 60+ 25 Euros. Plus 15 Euros extra for the aqua-park (but you must buy both tickets at the same time).
Note: Children over 12 years of age are classed as adults!

Located 5 km outside Benidorm next door to Terra Mitica.
Get there by taxi – around ten minutes from town – or on the 21 or 22 bus.
